Bhuwan Chauhan is a former engineer who transitioned into the bodybuilding scene and earned his IFBB Pro card in just a few years in the competitive field. He has recently shed light on the challenges encountered during the off-season. Known for his impressive physique and 6x Pro Wins, Chauhan made history as the first Indian to qualify for the 2022 Mr. Olympia.

In a candid Instagram post, Chauhan shared his latest physical updates, confessing, “Missing the shreds but it’s far more difficult to gain muscle than to lose fat…off-season being more difficult than prep…at least for me.” This heartfelt admission resonated with many of his fans, prompting him to ask, “Do you agree?”

One follower chimed in, highlighting the contrasting experiences of prep and off-season, stating that prep is actually enjoyable compared to the challenges of the off-season. To this, Chauhan candidly replied, “@bonheur_fitness literally lol that force-feeding is torture.” Chauhan, originally from India and now based in Canada, has carved a remarkable path in the world of Men’s Physique.

He arrived in Canada in 2011 on a full scholarship for his undergraduate studies and graduated in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2015. Despite his initial career in engineering, Chauhan made the bold decision to pursue his passion for fitness full-time, transitioning into an online coach and mentor for aspiring athletes.

Chauhan’s journey into competitive bodybuilding began in 2016 when he clinched his first men’s physique title at the South Alberta Championship. The following year, he made history by winning the Ben Weider Championship and securing his IFBB Pro card.

Furthermore, Chauhan became the first Indian citizen in the Men’s Physique division to achieve this feat. Since then, he has notched up numerous victories, including a top 5 placement at his pro debut and a notable win at the 2022 San Francisco Pro. Reflecting on his journey in the competitive arena, Chauhan’s achievements stand as a testament to his dedication and prowess: securing first place in Alberta in 2016 and triumphing at the Southern Alberta Championship in the same year.

Chauhan’s success continued with a second-place finish at the Canada National Championship in 2017, followed by clinching the prestigious Ben Weider Legacy Cup Pro Card later that year. His remarkable journey includes a notable fifth-place finish at the Vancouver Pro Show in 2018.
