As Chris Bumstead grows in popularity, the Classic Physique Olympia champion has started transcending his niche. Not only does Bumstead have nearly 25 million followers across social media, but even celebrities like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson follow the five-time champion. Besides being part of pro wrestling royalty, The Rock’s film career has skyrocketed his social media following to over a billion.

Earlier, the $800 million worth of wrestler-turned-actor commented on Bumstead’s Instagram video. The bodybuilding and fitness enthusiast explained he could relate to Bumstead’s post. The Hollywood star also left an encouraging message for the reigning champion. 

Dwayne Johnson is no stranger to the perks of a private gym

Chris Bumstead uploaded a video of himself doing the final set of ab crunches. According to the bodybuilding champion, it was the last exercise of the session. In the video, Bumstead walked up to a declined bench, slotted his feet inside the holders, and did a bunch of ab crunches. The decline position increases the difficulty of the crunches and might indicate the intensity Bumstead is maintaining in the gym.

The bodybuilder also braced his lower back by putting his hand on it for support. After suffering a muscle tear during his Olympia prep, Bumstead must be aiming to avoid any injuries. “One more benefit of a private gym: Post workout cool down music,” wrote gym as he slumped back on the declined bench, too exhausted from his crushing workout. All the while, Elvis Presley’s Falling in Love With You played in the background.

Dwayne Johnson, who is no stranger to intense and difficult workouts, called Bumstead’s private gym the champion’s “own iron paradise.” Johnson addressed the Canadian as “brother” and wrote that working out is the “Best therapy in the world.” Recently, the Black Adam star uploaded a similarly intense workout video.

The Rock’s incredibly intense workout

The bodybuilding enthusiast got into the shape of his life to play the DC super villain Black Adam. He trained extremely hard to play the DC character and put on more muscle. However, it seems the 51-year-old isn’t planning to let go of the gains as his workout session continues to be super intense.

On November 21, Johnson uploaded a similar video of himself on the final set of chest flies. The fitness freak performed his finishing set while sweat dripped from his body. The Rock explained that he aimed to make the workout so intense his private gym would feel like a sauna.

Owning a private gym is a privilege. However, the former ten-time WWE title holder understood the five-time Classic Physique Olympia winner’s dedication to the grind.
