He added, “I didn’t want to use accessories when they were not really needed. But when you’re on the final set, the aim is still to put maximum stress on the targeted muscle, so using straps here is fine to help achieve this.” Well, to think of gaining a forearm that is nineteen inches is still a dream for many, and the Mass Monster acquired it without even making an attempt. Turns out, more than the philosophy, he was inspired by the athlete that followed it.

Dorian Yates was in complete awe of Mike Mentzer’s size and physique, and it was following him that he took up this philosophy. Further in the caption he stated, “I was notably inspired by not just the philosophy, but physique of Mike Mentzer. In particular his rugged, hardcore look with the big forearms and thick muscularity.”

However, gradually he even adds the fact that if his forearms would not have grown effortlessly, just like any other athlete, he too would have put in a lot of effort to train his forearms and get them to grow bigger, but he was already fortunate. He added, “I think having thick, muscular forearms adds a level of power to your physique overall.” Share your thought about Dorian Yates’ method of training with us on the comments section below.
