While writing about the research-based method, the 76-year-old fitness icon references the growing popularity of Testosterone Replacement Therapy.?“The original TRT,”?wrote Schwarzenegger while writing about the topic. TRT has turned into a viable option for older men suffering from lower levels of testosterone. The treatment also helps those who have abused performance-enhancing drugs.

Besides TRT, many supplements also claim to enhance testosterone naturally. However, since Schwarzenegger’s newsletter is about helping the average person become healthier without complicating things, the bodybuilding icon cited proven research.?”A 46-year research review suggests that getting leaner can boost your natural testosterone,” the bodybuilding icon wrote in his newsletter.

Low testosterone levels can lead to several complications involving mood, sleep, etc. However, the prolonged study found lifestyle changes,?”in particular, losing fat and becoming leaner can boost testosterone by an average of 30 percent.”?

He also cited performance coach Dan Garner. Garaner referenced studies that found losing?“about 10 percent of weight results in an 84 ng/dL increase in testosterone.”?Meanwhile,?”losing approximately 30 percent of your weight results in a 251 ng/dL increase.”?However, Arnie doesn’t recommend drastic weight loss in a short period.
