Recently, a young boy posted a video on TikTok showing him working out at the gym from the handle djwiththehat. He captioned the video, “Been focusing more on cardio than lifting lately,” which was the complete opposite of what the video showed. The video showed the promising young lad doing some bench presses, progressively increasing the weight. In the video, an animated female voice says, “Testing my bench one more time before football camp”.

 

 

The strong aspiring footballer starts bench press at 225, moving to 315, 405, and finally 495lbs effortlessly. A peppy song called Easy Street by Naz Forio accompanies this fun workout progress video. The post has already amassed 1.9 million views. While working out, the budding footballer’s hat falls, which he adds in the video “Hat Strength”, a fun wordplay on his TikTok account name. Many of his followers could not believe DJ’s strength. It flabbergasted them to see him crush his gym workout.

One bodybuilding follower commented, 225 shouldn’t move like that”. Another person added, “Man just throws 495 around”. The boy’s grit, vigor, and hardiness inspired fans. A hilarious take on the video included a person saying, my toxic trait is thinking I can do that.” Appreciating the pause technique used by DJ, one person said, 495 w Pause is crazy bro keep it up.” He was also called a ‘Beast’. Given the herculean strength he displayed, fans are bound to get impressed.

Strength Training is an important part of preparing for football. It helps in agility, changing positions, and stamina and also prevents injury. A footballer focuses on lifting heavy with fewer sets so that they remain strong without adding too much mass to the body. Football is a game of intensity and power. Accurate passes, moving past defenders, and powerful shots get enhanced if the player has adequate upper body strength. It’s great to see the new generation working so hard on their goals.
