Paul Baxendale is a unique individual because he is not only a bodybuilding pro but also a scholar. He has been training and coaching for more than 40 years and now is into philosophy. Paul started at 14 and won the IFBB British finals in 1993. He retired in 1997 and now is a full-time scholar. Paul has a good fan following on Instagram and recently shared a new post with his fans.

Baxendale wrote a big caption describing Hercules and his physique which reminded him of someone. Fans agreed to it wholeheartedly in the comments.

Dorian ‘The Shadow’ Yates was a bodybuilder with an unparalleled physique. His lats were low and stretched wide as if to create a perfect lumbar Christmas tree. Another unmatched quality was the thickness of his muscles.

This is exactly what Baxendale was reminded of when he started writing his book. Paul captioned the post, “I’m currently writing on the myths and legendary tales of Herakles (Hercules), so I thought ‘what more fitting than to post a photo of a true Herculean physique from the 1991 Mr Olympia, that of @thedorianyates .”

He also brought legendary Lee Haney into the forefront and added, “The crispness and detail and immense thickness of Dorian’s back were put to a supreme test that September day against the reigning champ @lee_haney_official.” Paul decided to compare their physique and left the rest to fans’ opinions.
