The world has seen many bodybuilders and legendary politicians, but what made Arnold Schwarzenegger stand out? It’s not just his discipline, although that played a pivotal role and it’s extremely important, but he also opted to be curious, and eager, and always make room for changes. Over the years, the world has seen numerous achievements by Arnie, from winning Mr. Universe to dominating bodybuilding with seven Mr. Olympia titles, becoming a superstar, and having a successful political career.

With so many accomplishments, Schwarzenegger has always believed in giving back to society. As an immigrant himself, he understands the difficulties many face when trying to immigrate to a country full of countless opportunities. Recently, he was interviewed by Jose Andres, the chef and founder of World Central Kitchen, where he talked about immigration.

Arnold Schwarzenegger calls out for immigration issues and accused politicians

The Town and County published an interview in which the two discussed the main issues that people and pro-bodybuilders face when trying to obtain a visa. In the 1980 presidential campaign, Reagan and Bush debated, both spoke about immigration and immigrants, pointed out Andres, and then he asked about how can we return to valuing immigrants, and not discarding them.

The 76-year-old known for his honest answering, he accused political leaders of failing in these sectors “This is something our political leaders have failed to deal with for more than 30 years. The last person who really addressed immigration was Ronald Reagan [with the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act]. And that law needs badly to be updated.”

He explained that the country needed people from across the globe to come and work in the US. It’s what makes this country strong and diverse. “We just have a stupid immigration law where we have a limited amount of people allowed in. We need many more,” Schwarzenegger added. The same has been true for bodybuilding, with many bodybuilders missing out on Mr. Olympia due to visa issues. Behrooz Tabani was one of those unlucky few. However, he showed how he was still focused on his goals despite not being able to participate.

Tabani showcases his mental strength

Behrooz Tabani is one of those athletes who, despite earning their pro card, couldn’t participate in Olympia because he couldn’t avail of a US visa. He’s been trying to get his visa approved since last year. However, since the contest is live now, there is no chance for him to take part. Nevertheless, the bodybuilder has patiently started preparing for next year.

Tabani posted on Instagram, accepting his current situation, and wrote, “I am prepared for the hardest thing. Thank you, god a thousand times.” He’s been showcasing not only his astonishing body but his determination and passion for the sport. The Iranian’s Instagram is filled with a lot of such motivational captions, signifying that he is not one to back out of a challenge.
