Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is a champion strongman, bodybuilding icon, and an actor who starred in the worldwide famous web series Game Of Thrones. There is nothing he cannot achieve. Even after undergoing surgery, the strongman is still going strong. He has broken a 1000-year of record on 31 January 2015 in the World’s Strongest Viking Competition in Norway. He even carried a 33 ft long 1,430lbs log for five steps.

Apart from this, there is a new video of him trending on Instagram showing another one of his record-breaking performances. Fans were again surprised by his prowess.

Hafþór Björnsson lifts a record-breaking deadlift and wows the fans

In 2019, the strongman had broken the record for a 1046lbs deadlift in the Arnold Strongman Classic and it was a sight to behold. The Instagram page, Arnold Sports Festival, shared a throwback video of this competition. The post was captioned, “#flashbackfriday to @thorbjornsson breaking the Elephant Bar Deadlift world record with a 1046lb pull at the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic!”

With immense cheers from the audience and a fiery commentary by the anchors, the whole atmosphere was electric. Hafþór calmly went for the deadlift and once he was in the perfect position, he lifted it to break the world record!

Björnsson never gives up and his fans are proud of him. He regularly keeps them updated about his progress and health even after retirement and fans always support him.

All the people in the comments were applauding his power and technique.

One fan said, “Was at least 3 more reps in him.” Another user was dejected and commented, “He made a mistake when he retired from a strongman. Should’ve only taken a rest for a year, lose some weight, and then continue competing. He retired at his peak. For that boxing nonsense…”
