A day before the prestigious Mr. Olympia took place, something unexpected or rather shocking happened that took the ground off the feet of many in the bodybuilding realm. It was the day when the Mutant, Nick Walker announced his withdrawal from the competition due to an injury. He had been working hard in the gym for his Olympia dream for years. 

But all his efforts were in vain after a hamstring injury and because of this, he had to leave the Olympia press conference. A few days after the competition, the bodybuilder reportedly faced another heartbreak when rumors about his breakup with his girlfriend shook the digital world. However, he has requested rumors to stop it by posting a story on his Instagram account.

Bodybuilding Mutant breakup rumors take the internet by storm

Nick Walker, who got the third position in last year’s Mr. Olympia, pulled his name out of the race from the 2023 Mr. Olympia. His girlfriend, Maria Carvajal considered it a valid reason for doing so. Now, fans on the internet don’t approve of their relationship, which would explain the rumors. But it is to be seen whether that has an effect on the relationship.

The Mutant recently shared a story on his Instagram account where he wrote, “For those making comments towards Maria, please refrain from any negativity, thank you.”  This was of course after one of the fans commented asking if Carvajal and he were still together. As of right now, it would seem that they are. 

Nick Walker calls Maria his girlfriend

Walker has also spoken about Carvajal being supportive of his quest for glory in the bodybuilding circuit. In his latest Instagram post, Nick Walker even referred to her as his wife. talking about how she has always been there for him. He said in one of his posts, “This week has been a crazy crazy roller coaster of ups and downs, but my wife (yes my wife) held us both together, all the running around, all the store stops, doctors appointments, making sure I had my food, putting my socks on, my pants on, helping me shower, Maria is something extremely special”. On the other hand after Walker called Maria his wife in his latest post, Maria shared the same post on her story. She stated, “It happened a little while ago but it was a little secret”. 

There you go. That should put a cork in the bottle of rumors. They are married after all and he does openly express his love and gratitude towards her for being the support system he’s needed all along. What do you think about such rumors?
