In a recent Instagram video by Tom Stoltman, he captioned, “@tomstoltmanofficial shares his thoughts on @thorbjornsson return to Strongman in 2024. You won’t want to miss one!” Tom Stoltman expressed his views on Hafthor Julius Bjornsson’s comeback to the Strongman world. He said, “Hafthor has announced his return to Strongman in 2024. I think he’s obviously going to hit it hard; the training, now he’s coming back to, you know, make a storm.”

Stoltman points out that the differences between maintaining a heavy body weight and being competition-ready are substantial, especially after a three-year gap. He further stated, “He’s not been anywhere near 180, 190, or 200-kilogram body weight, so getting comp fit and getting gym fit is totally different things. I think Hafthor’s been off three years. He’s been doing powerlifting but it’s a total different game than lifting Atlas stones, lifting logs. In my eyes, I don’t think he’s going to be able to, you know, keep up with the best guys in the world on his first competition back.”
