Bodybuilding veteran Jay Cutler has inspired countless individuals through his years of hard work and determination. Despite his retirement from the sport almost a decade ago, Cutler still works out regularly and posts fitness-related content daily on his social media and YouTube channels. After recently transforming his body at the age of 50 for his ‘Fit for 50’ challenge, Cutler portrayed once again what sheer dedication and consistency can do to an individual.

Despite rumors being circulated earlier that Cutler might participate in the Master’s Olympia, Jay cleared up the air by revealing this is far from the truth. The Mr. Olympia Masters is a prestigious bodybuilding competition that portrays dedicated athletes who are over the age of 40. The Master’s Olympia is making its comeback this year after almost a decade. The last competitor to win the event before it was shuttered was Dexter Jackson in 2012. The Master’s Olympia also hands over pro cards for athletes every year. While many athletes like Dennis James, Milos Sarcev, and Chris Cormier believe this to be unfair, Cutler recently revealed in his Instagram story that he will be present at the competition.

Cutler uploaded a poster of the event with all the details listed. The competition will take place on August 26th and 27th at BTarena Cluj, which is in Romania. As a pioneer in the bodybuilding industry, Cutler’s presence at the bodybuilding show has fans thrilled over the news.

Aceto’s Take on the Master’s Olympia

Aceto explained during a podcast with bodybuilding veteran Dave Palumbo that Master’s Olympia makes no sense according to him. Giving his two cents about the contest, he explained that there is no Master’s NBA or the Master’s NFL. Organizing a show for bodybuilders over the age of 40 is too risky and illogical, according to Aceto.

Aceto said, “Oh God, stop promoting that Masters Olympia. I want to pull the plug on it the more I think of it.” Continuing further, he stated, “How many former Mr. Olympias would do an ‘I’m going to get in shape at 50?'” While strictly denying the chances, he further added, “Never. Not even a–on a scale of 1-10, it doesn’t register in his brain for doing a master’s show or any show. No. I’m sure his take is the same as mine. That’s why I rant on the Olympia.”
