Bodybuilder turned Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger dedicated his life to an illustrious career extending into multiple disciplines. Hence, appearing as a role model to his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, he followed in his footsteps and has worked as an entrepreneur, fitness model, and actor. Although his acting feats date back to his childhood, the news of his most recent project startled his father last year. 

Patrick showed the star athlete what he was working on once, which a clueless Arnie was not expecting at all. This led to a critical remark from him. Regardless, the star kid went on with his project and recently teased the latest glimpse of his series, Gen V, a spin-off of the hit web series, The Boys, per Instagram. 

Patrick Schwarzenegger hints at his latest work

The 29-year-old actor took to his Instagram to share the first teaser poster of the TV series. With a brief note, he expressed his elation on the instance. After the 2019 action series (The Boys) emerged as a massive hit among fans, the producers seized the opportunity to put together another one, featuring the actors on the same lines.

To be streamed on Amazon Prime, the superhero series Gen V was marked as “from the world of The Boys.” Moreover, insinuating its release this year, Patrick wrote in the Instagram story“Coming soon,” while adding a fun emoji alongside. The post was originally shared by the official account of the TV show, and the poster displayed a beheaded “Homelander statue” with a bold title of the series.

Patrick’s first acting project was The Benchwarmers, where he starred as the character of ‘Jock Kid Game #3.’ However, unaware of the current superhero features in the film industry, Arnie was taken aback when his son shared that he was working on the Evan Goldberg-produced feature.

An interview with Variety Magazine revealed that Arnie hadn’t seen the superhero show, The Boys, despite its great popularity among the modern youth. Thus, when he found that his son was starring in a spin-off feature of the same, he was perplexed. Patrick had to explain to his star father how it was supposed to work.

“He looked at me and he was like, ‘What the f**k are you filming?’ I was like, It’s this show called The Boys,” the star kid said. Yet, that wasn’t enough for the 75-year-old legend, as he was unable to wrap his head around the show. Therefore, Patrick had to request his father to “watch an episode” to help him understand and articulate what happens in it.
