Despite being one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, Chris Pratt is no stranger to facing criticism. Critics of the son-in-law of Arnold Schwarzenegger have slammed him for his acting, humor, and many other things. However, as a Page Six reporter put it, the 43-year-old sometimes also gets “s**t” for being outspoken about his faith. The Guardians of the Galaxy star is a man of faith who doesn’t shy away from speaking about god.

Pratt is thankful to god for everything he has in his life, including his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, who he met at church. While answering the Page Six reporter, Chris Pratt once again quoted the bible. He also revealed 2000 years ago people hated Jesus too, and why the criticism doesn’t bother him.

The Terminal List star agreed with the report during the interview. “I sure do but that’s nothing new… you know?” said the 43-year-old actor. However, Pratt’s belief in his faith has allowed him to be unphased in the face of those who criticize him for it. “If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world,” said Pratt.

He also specified which part of the bible he quoted, “That’s John 15:18 through 20.” During the interview, Chris Pratt also said, “2000 years ago they hated him too,” referring to Christ. However, it’s not just his faith in god that helps Chris Pratt stave off the criticism. Pratt also compared himself with a thick-skinned Rhino.

Katherine Schwarzenegger’s husband said that just like a rhino, he keeps “driving forward,” with his head down. On a more humorous note, the Tomorrow War star added, “If anyone gets in your way, you stick the horn right up their a**!” However, faith isn’t the only thing that has helped Pratt.

“When it comes to rejection, I was trained in the crucible of door-to-door sales some 25 years ago,” said Pratt. Similarly, Arnold Schwarzenegger came to America and through hard work, became the embodiment of the American dream. Even when he was trying to get into acting, the bodybuilding icon overcame challenges and rejections. “So, you can’t turn me away, there’s no stopping us,” said Chris Pratt at the end.
