Bodybuilder turned Hollywood star, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s massive influence pierces beyond the nation’s boundaries and into multiple domains. The character he portrayed in the Terminator franchise, directed by James Cameron, is widely known as his most famous role. As a result, the character’s memorable dialogue upon his comeback has become widely used and recognized.

A recent feud in the British political sphere involved Schwarzenegger’s contagious line from the movie. Former Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson quoted the star in a recent political address against current PM Rishi Sunak, per a publication by Express.

While the 58-year-old had previously used another of Schwarzenegger’s four-worded lines in his farewell speech, this time he decided to say one in protest. According to the source, Mr. Johnson condemned the current PM of “talking rubbish” after the latter accused him of a questionable act.

Speaking at the London Tech Conference, Mr. Sunak claimed that Mr. Johnson had urged him to overrule the House of Lords Appointments Commission (Holac) vetting committee to move beyond his nominations for peerages. Hence, refuting the claims and denouncing Mr. Sunak’s act, the former PM expressed himself with the Austrian Oak’s line.

“We must fully deliver on Brexit and on the 2019 manifesto. We must smash Labour at the next election. Nothing less than absolute victory and total Brexit will do–and as the great Arnold Schwarzenegger said, I’ll be back,” the politician said, as per the publication by Express. Likewise, after his term as a PM ended last year, he retorted to another dialogue of the Hollywood star.

As per sources, Mr. Johnson included yet another iconic four-worded dialogue last year during his farewell speech. “I want to thank everybody here and hasta la vista, baby. Thank you,” he said. Originally a Spanish line, it bids farewell.

Hence, translating to English, it would mean “see you later.” The iconic line is from the first sequel of the film series, Terminator.  Such instances hint at the former athlete’s magnificent persona and influence all over the world, so much so that, even international politicians are quoting him.
