Lee Priest opens up about his fondest memory
After a brief discussion about Gold’s gym owner, Joe Gold, and his antics, the Australian athlete recalled former athlete Guiliani and the great times they had shared in the past. Sadly, the athlete passed away at the age of 87 after having inspired the bodybuilding world for years. Priest shared that he was among the few people who got invited to Eddie’s house, and recalled it as being a secret location like a bat cave.
He also revealed that the late athlete was really fond of cars. An iconic way of remembering Eddie was to recall his hilarious scene in Pumping Iron when he jumped into Arnold’s arms.
“he was the one on pumping iron that jumps in Arnold’s arms in the beginning of Pumping Iron,” Priest said while cherishing the memories. Notably, the late bodybuilder also earned The Austrian Oak’s fondness during their training sessions together.
