7X Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name is registered in the realm of bodybuilding forever. Creating history at the time by winning the most Olympia titles, Schwarzenegger became a legend in the sport and is still considered one of the greatest bodybuilders to ever live. Schwarzenegger was known for his huge biceps and chest which overpowered almost every athlete in his lineup. 

However, being from the golden era, gym equipment as well as dietary supplements were not as optimum as it is today. Despite this, the athletes managed to build a Greek-god physique, after all, equipments is just helpful in adding variations. A good physique can be made with just simple, old-school movements as well. Educating his audience about the same, Arnold Schwarzenegger recently introduced them to a ‘Under-$100 Home Gym.’

While it is the dream of every lifter to make a dungeon for himself consisting of the best training equipments possible, this dream is often too expensive to be pursued for most individuals. Fortunately, in his recent edition of daily newsletter ‘Arnold’s Pump Club’, he educated his audience that a budget home gym can be made under merely a $100. He wrote, “You know gyms have all the fancy machines, but you can get great results by doing bodyweight exercises. However, a little bit of equipment can add more variety, which might help you stay committed to your plan.”

Recommending the first equipment for a basic home gym, Schwarzenegger talked about the importance of gymnastics rings which can be used “for pull-ups, dips, push-ups, rows, muscle-ups.” Continuing further, Schwarzenegger suggested getting a jump rope. He explained that skipping is the reason boxers have a well-conditioned physique.

Arnold continued the list by mentioning a ‘DIY Slamball’ which can prove to be a really great piece of equipment for building strength. “Pick heavy things up, put them down, and do that a lot over a long period, and your body will change,” Schwarzenegger stated. The last on the list was a ‘DIY Sled’ which helps in muscle conditioning as well as endurance training. He wrote, “Take an old tire, wrap a strap around it, throw something heavy on top, and get to pulling.”
