The bodybuilding icon has often spoken about his affection for the game and how it helped him develop critical thinking. Schwarzenegger has consistently displayed his love for chess, often engaging in matches and promoting the game whenever the opportunity arises. But while the Austrian Oak usually dominates this game, whether it is with his gym partners or family members, he recently admitted to getting outplayed by none other than his lovely pet donkey, Lulu 

The seven-time Mr. Olympia champion is in the limelight with respect to his new Netflix series, FUBAR, which is currently streaming on the platform. In one of the appearances, Arnold opened up about an interesting moment that happened with his beloved pet.

Arnold Schwarzenegger comes up with an interesting anecdote

Schwarzenegger’s revelation came during a recent appearance where he interacted with fans on Reddit. While the Austrian Oak normally replies to his fans on Reddit, this time, he came on camera and gave the context of some interesting images. The official Reddit Twitter handle shared the video of the Governator answering some of the top Reddit posts. However, the highlight came when he came across an old post featuring a picture of himself sitting across a chessboard from his pet donkey, Lulu.

In a humorous manner, Schwarzenegger acknowledged that his donkey was not only an amusing pet but also an excellent chess partner. The Hollywood legend spontaneously came up with an imaginary yet amusing anecdote about playing chess with Lulu. He described how Lulu would often appear disinterested and not pay attention to the game. However, to Schwarzenegger’s astonishment, he suddenly realizes that Lulu had masterfully outplayed him, resulting in his defeat.

“I have to say that Lulu is not only a pet to have a lot of fun with but, she also is a great chess partner. It’s kind of like she just does things like kind of not paying much attention, and then I realize all of a sudden that I lose the game,” he said in the video. However, apart from her pet donkey, the bodybuilding champion often dominates his opponent in chess. 

Chris Pratt opened up about Schwarzenegger’s expertise in chess

Last month, Arnold’s son-in-law Chris Pratt appeared for an interview on the popular late-night Seth Meyers show. During the conversation, Pratt opened up about how he and Schwarzenegger play a lot of chess games together. However, the Starlord added that he has never been able to beat the Austrian Oak in the game so far. “He’s incredible. He’s really good,” Pratt told Meyers.
