Tracy Smith spoke about the legendary gym at the beginning of the segment, where the who’s-who of bodybuilding trained during the golden era. “On any given day, the gym’s most famous patron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be here, pumping up,”?she said while clips of the 75-year-old working out played in the background.

I’m sure you have a nice home gym,”?asked the CBS News reporter.?“I have a nice home gym,”?Arnold Schwarzenegger responded.?“How did you know?”?he asked with an inquisitive but humorous tone. He then answered Smith’s question.
The 75-year-old fitness icon had a simple reason for regularly coming to Gold’s Gym.?“I like working out with people,”?the five-time Mr. Universe told Smith. While the Austrian Oak has everything he needs at home, it cannot replace the atmosphere of Gold’s. The action star also loves helping people.?“He’s quick to give pointers to anyone who looks like they need help,”?said the reporter. Arnold Schwarzenegger loves working out at Gold’s Gym so much that he even designed his workout regimen around the Mecca of bodybuilding.
Gold’s Gym is a crucial part of Arnie’s daily workout routine
Despite training at the legendary gym since the late 60s, Arnie never grew tired of the place. At 75, Schwarzenegger has integrated Gold’s Gym into?his daily workout routine. While most people do their cardio session at the gym on a treadmill, stairmaster, or other similar equipment, Arnie is different. The former governor bikes through the streets of California to reach the gym.
The bike ride acts as a cardio session for the former champion. He then works out for about 40 minutes on the exercise machines. The 75-year-old then rides his bike back home, which acts as his post-workout cardio and cool down.
