Arnold Schwarzenegger ws the Governer of California from 2003 to 2011. While the 38th Governor of the state spotted away from politics after his second term ended in 2011, his voice still holds weight in the sphere. The Republican’s name has come up time and again as his relationship with former president Donal Trump soured in recent times. He also works with politicians to promote environmentally friendly practices.

Earlier, the former Mr. Olympia sat with the New York Times for an interview. During the interview, David Marchese asked the Governator about his opinion on his former brother-in-law, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Schwarzenegger had an insightful response.

David Marchese asked Arnie a loaded question during their conversation. “What do you make of R.F.K. Jr.’s anti-vax, conspiracist turn?” asked the NYT reporter. Arnold Schwarzenegger married Maria Shriver in 1986. The couple divorced in 2021 after being separated since 2011. R.F.K. Jr. is Shriver’s cousin. “First of all, I know Bobby from the time I met Maria,” he said. “I always liked him,” The former politician added. However, Kennedy Jr.’s recent take on various things has made Arnie rethink. The 76-year-old remained fairly neutral while responding to Marchese. “When I look at him being suspicious of certain things, I ask myself, Can anyone really judge him in a fair way?” he said.

“Here’s a guy who has had an uncle assassinated, a father assassinated. No one wants to open up the files,” the Governator told The News York Times. The 76-year-old actor said he believes these experiences have shaped R.F.K Jr. and his worldview. Arnie said these past experiences might have made the 69-year-old develop trust issues.

However, the bodybuilding icon also doesn’t live with such trust issues. Hence, the Austrian Oak doesn’t give credence to certain narratives and conspiracy theories. “I’m not saying rightfully or wrongfully. I’m just saying I can see why someone like him is the way he is,” said the seven-time Mr. Olympia.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a calculated answer to the question. Instead of projecting his perspective on his former bother-in-in-law, the 76-year-old remained neutral and didn’t suppress R.F.K. Jr.’s perspective.
