Bodybuilding maestro Arnold Schwarzenegger has reached the zenith of three disciplines: movies, fitness, and politics. Moreover, the aesthetically honed cultural icon commands respect for his unwavering dedication to his art. However, there is a softer side to the Terminator, shown through his love for pets. Furthermore, netizens would be surprised to know that Schwarzenegger’s famous co-star showcased the joy of owning a pet so much that the Austrian Oak became a proud father of a little piggy.

In Joel Schumacher’s 1997 film Batman & Robin, George Clooney played the role of Bruce Wayne. While filming, he forged a strong bond with co-actor Schwarzenegger, who portrayed the role of Mr. Freeze, over pigs. A 2014 article by “The Columbus Dispatch” describes a sweet pet-owning saga of the ex-Governor of California.

Before taking up the role of Mr. Freeze in the DC Universe, the Statesman was already a proud chief of an army of exotic animals. However, Clooney’s love for his pig, Max, made Schwarzenegger miss his little piggy. The esteemed newspaper The Columbus Dispatch” elaborated on Arnie’s experience at the set. While talking about Clooney, Arnie mused, “I always liked that he was into pigs; he has this little pig that he takes everywhere.”

However, soon after buying the pig, Schwarzenegger realized his mistake as the little baby pig gained too much weight too quickly. “The thing is, I must’ve bought the wrong one because, in no time, it was 300 pounds and I could barely lift the son of a gun,” lamented Conan the Barbarian lead actor. Arnie had named his first pet Bacon, but he failed to carry around the trotter like Clooney could. Eventually, the symmetrical god got his miniature pig named Schnelly in 2023. Although the Three Kings actor introduced Arnie to the world of pigs, Clooney’s own experience with the movie was not very fruitful.

Despite featuring two legendary actors, “Batman & Robin” could not spin its magic at the box office. Moreover, the Gravity actor was not too happy about being paid less than Mr. Freeze. While Schwarzenegger added a whopping $25 million to his kitty, the Ocean’s Eleven actor made a little more than $1 million. In a 2020 Howard Stern show, Clooney unfondly reminisced about the pay difference. However, the great thing that emerged from the filming was Schwarzenegger’s newfound love for oinklets. For those wondering more about the FUBAR actor’s pet haven, Arnie has many paw partners that demand his time and affection.
