Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new book “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life,” is still gaining a lot of attention even months after its release. The bodybuilding icon launched the book on October 10, and within days, it became the bestselling book in its genre. Now, its audiobook has been named the Audiobook of the Week by The New York Times.

According to the New York Times, the audiobook highlights the unique nature of Schwarzenegger’s audiobook, noting that it’s more about entertainment. The article srives into the intriguing qualities that make “Be Useful” stand out as not just a guide to life, but an honest, unfiltered, and even bizarre journey.

The 76-year-old, known for his roles in blockbuster movies and his remarkable bodybuilding and political career, has taken a different approach with his latest book. The audiobook presents seven tools for life, presumably offering insights and lessons based on his own experiences.

The audiobook version has now been chosen as the Audiobook of the Week by the New York Times. The former Mr. Olympia expressed his gratitude for this recognition on his Instagram account, saying “Thank you @nytimes!!”  Schwarzenegger has always been known for his larger-than-life presence, and “Be Useful” seems to reflect that spirit. The audiobook promises not just advice but an experience that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Before he released his new book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life,” he shared that the title is inspired by a sermon given by his father. Since he was a kid, Arnie was competitive and always sought validation from his parents. His own experiences thoroughly inspire the book.

Even though the book is in the self-help genre, it also tells the story of Arnold’s tough childhood. In a Netflix documentary, he had candidly talked about his not-so-ideal relationship with his father. Despite the hardship, he still misses his father and wakes up early with his father’s words motivating him.

Regardless of their tough relationship, Schwarzenegger doesn’t consider his book as a closer, saying he was never looking for it. He doesn’t blame his father for anything and doesn’t hold a grudge. The Austrian Oak believes his father didn’t know any better about the environment they lived in after World War II. The book is named after his father’s advice about focusing on being useful to avoid life’s sorrows. He transformed his life with perseverance, moving beyond the difficulties he faced in his hometown.
