Two-time Ms. Bikini international winner Lauralie Chapados earned her third consecutive title at the Arnold Classic 2024. The Canadian bodybuilder had to contend with a tough challenge from promising challenger Amy Delgado. In fact, in the end, the head-to-head between the two bikini competitors came down to a hair-splitting difference of just one point.

After announcing who had placed from sixth through third place, The Voice of Bodybuilding, Bob Cicherillo announced that a “one point difference,” decided who the champion was. The announcers and fans got the hint that the competition between Delgado and Chapados had heated up when the judges compared the two of them on stage. However, no one expected the contest to be this close. The two competitors had to wait for what felt like a few excruciatingly long seconds before Cicherillo announced that Amy Delgado would take home the second-place award.

Winning the Bikini International twice, yet being unable to dethrone Bikini Ms. Olympia Jennifer Dorie is what drove Chapados to make improvements. So this year, the defending two-time champion worked on dialing up her conditioning. Besides stage presence and muscularity, Lauralie Chapados achieved a more balanced physique compared to last year’s Olympia.

After completing her three-peat and winning $10,000, Lauralie Chapados has set up another clash with the reigning Bikini Ms. Olympia Jennifer Dorie. For the last two years, the Canadian bikini competitor has found herself in Amy Delgado’s position on the Olympia stage.

Just like Delgado came close to defeating her, Chapados has come within touching distance of the Bikini Ms. Olympia trophy. After her triumphant showing and improvements at the Arnold Classic, Lauralie Chapados might pose an even greater challenge for Jennifer Dorie. However, Amy Delgado will also look to make her presence felt on the Bikini Olympia stage when she qualifies for the show.

While Jennifer Dorie didn’t compete this year, the Bikini International had no dearth of competitors. Besides Lauralie Chapados winning $10,000, runner-up Amy Delgado’s promising showing earned her $6000. Vania Auguste placed third and took home $4,000. Meanwhile, two-time former bikini International champion Angelica Teixeira settled for fourth place.

The former champion won $3000 for her efforts. Finally, Phoebe Hagan and Eli Fernandez were awarded $1500 each for placing fifth and sixth, respectively. Although Lauralie Chapados was the only competitor who earned a spot in the Olympia, it’s highly likely that the Arnold Classic top six, especially Amy Delgado, will book their Olympia ticket later this year.
