Despite not competing at the upcoming Arnold Classic, reigning Classic Physique Olympia, Chris Bumstead is excited about the competition. As one of the special guests at the event, Bumstead will watch his rivals compete on the stage as part of the audience. Besides his own division, Cbum is keen on watching the open bodybuilders compete and spilled the beans on who he expects to win.
The 29-year-old appeared as a guest on the RAW Nutrition podcast. The Canadian spoke about the open division while discussing the Arnold Classic with hosts Dom Iacovone and Matt Jensen. Besides picking who he thinks will win the contest, the bodybuilding icon predicted the top five placings at the upcoming event in Ohio.

For first place, Cbum’s pick wasn’t surprising. The bodybuilding champion picked 2022 Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan to win the Arnold Classic. Since Chris Bumstead and Choopan train under Hany Rambod, the Canadian bodybuilding icon has seen Choopan’s physique up close. He believes the Ther Persian Wolf will defeat defending champion Samson Dauda.
The King of Classic Physique predicted that Samson ‘The Nigerian Lion’ Dauda would finish as the runner-up in Ohio. However, Cbums’s third, fourth, and fifth-place predictions might surprise many fans. Arnold Classic newcomer Marcello De Angelis, aka. Horse MD has generated a lot of buzz among fans. Fans also await the anticipated return of another Brazilian icon, Rafael Brandao.
Although many fans believe that the Brazilians will place in the top five, Chris Bumstead didn’t count them. The bodybuilding icon picked James Hollingshead in third place, Akim Williams in fourth, and fellow Candian Antoine Vaillant in fifth.

Bumstead openly accepted bias toward Vaillant and said that the Canadian might not be among the top five. However, the open division wasn’t the only division Chris Bumstead gave his opinions on.
Cbum picks the Classic Physique top three
After predicting the open division’s top five, Chris Bumstead moved on to his own division. However, it seemed that the champ wasn’t aware of how “stacked” the Arnold Classic Physique lineup looked. Bumstead expressed slight astonishment to see “everyone” on the list of competitors. However, his predictions for the Classic Physique division won’t surprise anyone.

The bodybuilding icon picked his arch-rival and defending champion, Ramon Dino, to win it all. Bumstead put Urs Kalecinski in second and Breon Ansley in third place. While Chris Bumstead won’t compete at the Arnold Classic is excited about the prestigious contest like all bodybuilding fans.
