The former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is all set to debut on the tv screen with his latest Netflix series, ‘FUBAR,’ on May 25th. On top of that, his fans will soon be treated to a highly anticipated documentary about his life and career, titled ‘Arnold.’ However, Schwarzenegger’s hunger for working on the big screen is refusing to stop, as the Austrian oak dropped a major hint that he could reprise his iconic role from the famous movie ‘Conan the Barbarian.’ 

The bodybuilding icon has been in the limelight for his latest movie updates. The recent announcement from the Terminator has sent his fans into a frenzy.

In a recent interview, Schwarzenegger revealed that the director of the 1982 Conan The Barbarian movie, John Milius, has a brilliant story in mind. The legendary bodybuilder further said that he is excited about the project as “There’s a great script out there that John Milius wrote. There are directors who want to do it”.  

However, the Austrian opened up about what is hindering the iconic project from rejuvenating. While the majority of the headache tasks have been dealt with, the only big problem left is the movie rights. The seven-time Mr. Olympia champion revealed that the rights to the Conan franchise currently rest in the hands of Fredrik Malmberg.

“But he has the rights, and until he sells the rights for one or two movies, or for the franchise, there’s nothing you can do about it,” Schwarzenegger told The Hollywood Reporter. While the fate of the much-awaited sequel lies in the hands of Malmberg, Schwarzenegger’s comments have only fueled fans’ excitement.

Many fans have bombarded the comment box of the Twitter post that revealed Terminator’s opinion while expressing their excitement. Some even gave their unique suggestions of how the narrative should be set.

While the future of the Conan franchise remains uncertain, Schwarzenegger’s take on working on the iconic character clearly shows that retirement is not a word in his vocabulary. In the meantime, fans would be looking forward to Schwarzenegger’s return to the acting world with ‘FUBAR’ on Netflix, which is set to premiere on May 25th.
