Arnold Schwarzenegger aimed to establish himself as a great bodybuilder and achieved it very early in his life. After realizing that his growth in the sport is saturated, he desired to act in films. So, he paralleled both his bodybuilding career and acting career in the 1970s. The break in his acting career came in 1982, when his movie ‘Conan the Barbarian‘ turned out to be a blockbuster hit. But the third installment in the Conan series is still pending.

Now, in his newsletter, Arnold Pump Club, the Austrian Oak revealed his wish to reprise his role in the third part of the series. However, the film didn’t go on the floors yet. Arnie lately opened up about the reason behind it.

The newsletter of Pumping Iron star has become a platform for his fans to discuss various facets of the bodybuilder’s life. Arnie actively answers his followers’ questions regarding fitness, health, and life. In his recent edition of the newsletter, a fan questioned the action hero about one of his superhit movies. 

Arnold you mentioned one of your favorite mementos is the sword of Conan. I think we would love to see King Conan!! Is that something you would like to do? Or is it if you’re asked then it may happen?” the fan wrote. Revealing his thoughts on the movie, he replied, “I love it. John Milius wrote a fantastic script.” However, the person having Conan rights wants to work on a different vision, claimed the ‘Governator’. 

He worked on a TV Show supposedly with Netflix for a while that never happened and now he’s away from Netflix and has another plan,” Arnie further added. Confessing about his interest in the third part of the installment Schwarzenegger said, “I’ve always wanted to do it but I also know it’s not worth getting frustrated about things I don’t control.” The ‘Terminator’ star starred in the first two parts, Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer. He earlier revealed how he got injured on the sets of the first part.

The desire to become a lead actor in Hollywood helped Arnold Schwarzenegger to withstand even the toughest film shoot. Conan The Barbarian is one such film where Arnie had to act as a barbarian warrior. Being a warrior isn’t easy and the ‘Predator’ icon embraced all his injuries with open arms.

He revealed in an earlier interview with GQ about his injuries while filming the movie. “There were a lot of injuries at that time. I remember the first day I shot, I had to get stitched up. I had 12 stitches in my back because some wolf pulled me down from the rock and I fell with me back on rocks,” he recalled.

Decades passed but the zeal of Arnold Schwarzenegger didn’t decline with age. At 75 years, he is still adventurous enough to want to act in the third part of the Conan series. Hope he and his fan’s aspirations come true very soon.
