The King once shared his poor state of affairs in his initial years. He survived on pizza and started competing in bodybuilding events for a gym membership. But the legend never left any stone unturned to make it big in the bodybuilding arena. And his achievements include eight Sandow Trophies, surpassing even Arnold Schwarzenegger’s count.

His professional life, however, is not limited to revenue earned by competing in the events. Coleman owns a supplement company, makes sponsorship deals, and gives appearances. But he recently opened up about another way he amasses his wealth.

The host questioned Coleman about his earnings from Cameo. “I was telling Jack that I was shocked about 750,000 a year doing Cameo,” the host said. Agreeing to the earnings, “I have about 10 of those things holding right now, I was doing them up in my room,” he confessed. To the unversed, Cameo is a personalized video messaging app. Celebrities often use it to send messages to their fans. However, Coleman spent a massive amount on his surgeries.

The dollars that were spent on The King’s surgery

The bodybuilding fans are aware of Ronnie Coleman’s ups and downs in life. While people are fascinated by his bodybuilding legacy, they empathize with his current health condition. In 1996, the King dislocated his disc while squatting weights. Despite the pain, the 59-years pushed through years of training, becoming the G.O.A.T of the sport.

But when he decided to treat his herniated disc, it ended up in a series of botched surgeries, which cost him millions. “Every surgery I’ve had done was like $300,000 to $500,000 for every surgery,” Coleman confessed. Despite the sad times, the bodybuilding legend never regrets his training decisions.
