Arnold Schwarzenegger is someone who believes that friendship is essential for a person to thrive. Throughout his life, Arnie has been blessed with some truly great friends. In fact, the Austrian Oak once revealed that were it not for his best friend Franco Columbu, he would’ve never achieved the fame he has today. Hence, the bodybuilding legend understands the value of friendship and knows how to honor it. 

The seven-time Mr. Olympia is in his home country of Austria for the 2023 Arnold SCI conference. He is also getting ready for the release of his Netflix show, FUBAR. Despite his busy schedule, the former Mr. Universe still made time to meet with “the boys,” and uploaded a still on Instagram. However, the fans noticed something about the 75-year-old’s age.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his childhood friends

On May 16, Arnold Schwarzenegger uploaded an image with four others sitting at a dinner table. The men in the photograph looked about the same age as the Governator. “Back with the boys,” Arnie wrote in the caption. “I’m so lucky that I’m still buddies with my elementary school friends from Thal,” he added.

In the image, the 75-year-old and his four pals smiled while raising a glass to their decades-old friendship. While all five of the men at the table used to study at Thal, Arnie must have invited them to his climate action conference. Fans loved the Austrain’s heartwarming post with his childhood friends and also noticed how he looked the youngest.

Giving his fans some friendship goals

Fans instantly noticed how Arnie looked younger than his four pals from elementary school. “Arnold looks younger them all these guys! Awesome,” commented one fan. “All look very old except of Arnold,” wrote a second fan. However, not everyone commented on their age. “The boys will always be the boys,” wrote one fan referring to Schwarzenegger’s caption.

Another fan found friendship goals after coming across the 75-year-old bodybuilding icon’s post. “This is how I imagine our generation’s Instagram account in 50 years,” the user wrote. “This is awesome!! A question we all are wondering. Did you guys go to the gym?” asked a curious fan. However, one fan pointed out how “Europeans stay friends with their classmates forever. Wish it was like that in US. So hard keeping friends here. Looks like a good time boss!”
