The anticipation for the 2023 Mr. Olympia competition has reached a fever pitch, with bodybuilding pros giving their all to the preparation. The palatable excitement revolves around the sole question: who will be the crowning champion? Will it be Hadi Choopan or Derek Lunsford? One can’t miss the Nigerian Lion, Samson Dauda, who has already cast his spell in the 2023 Arnold Classic Championship.
Undoubtedly, the title will go to a winner who shows unparalleled passion and rigor to win the trophy. And Samson Dauda seems to leave no stone unturned. His recent social media post is a testament to his hunger for success as the already-perfect bodybuilder seems ready for Mr. O.

In a recent YouTube video, for the countdown to the Mr. Olympia competition, Dauda posted a prep series showcasing a day at the gym. Just 11.5 weeks out of the competition, the Nigerian-English IFBB pro chose to train his arms with gym buddies. The bodybuilder immediately started the drill, working his biceps at the preacher curl machine. Then he moved on to some dumbbells, but not before helping his friends with weights and form.
The Nigerian Lion’s workout also highlights the importance of good training partners in pushing oneself to the limit. Furthermore, the 30-year-old crushed his advanced pull-down, working his triceps to the core. It seems like Dauda will not leave anything to chance this year. The Nigerian Lion was placed sixth in the 2022 Mr. Olympia championship, while Hadi Choopan emerged victorious.
However, many fan pages are building up the tempo until the competition. They are rooting for Dauda, whose back definition is beginning to look more and more like Choopan’s in the 2023 Arnold Classic. Moreover, both show striated legs and a wing-like appearance tapering down from the shoulders because of their conditioned backs. However, Hadi Choopan, A.K.A. The Persian Wolf would not back down so easily.
Hadi Choopan was the obvious choice in 2022
Hadi Choopan started appearing in the Mr. O competitions in 2019. Since then, he has always been placed in the top 5, with his best performance coming in 2022 when he clinched the trophy. Once the Persian bodybuilder took guidance from elite coach Hany Rambod, his physique showed massive improvement. Moreover, the relentless bodybuilder not only displayed extensive conditioning but also dealt with visa hurdles to compete in the coveted championship.

In 2022, when Choopan presented his body on stage, judges were mesmerized by his posing style and density. Moreover, he appeared much bigger than in previous years. Additionally, the IFBB pro had deep ridges in his muscles, reflective of his decade-old training drills. Thus, Choopan was honored with the title for his resilience and dogged attitude. Although Derek Lunsford and Nick Walker too brought in eye-catching physiques, they were no match for Choopan. This year, it remains to be seen who becomes the winner. Could Samson Dauda, who also has a height advantage, be the ultimate winner?
