There is hardly anyone at this point related to strength sports and bodybuilding unaware of who Larry Wheels is. After making a name for himself in the realm of powerlifting as well as arm wrestling, unfortunately, Wheels recently found himself amidst a serious health issue. While Wheels is still in his recovery, things took an even sadder turn when he tore his bicep a few weeks ago. The injury happened while he was training for a strongman competition. However, Wheels is not a person who gives up easily.
Fighting amidst all the trauma and troubles in his life, his recent Instagram story saw him training biceps despite having a torn one in his left arm.
Larry Wheels’ attempt to get better at arm wrestling

After recently being diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis, Wheels received support from various entities involved in the fitness and bodybuilding sphere as well as his fans. While still recovering from the disease which causes damaged muscle tissue to release its proteins into the bloodstream, Wheels is now luckily out of any danger.
In his recent Instagram story, Wheels can be seen training his biceps, doing concentration curls. He also stated that the exercise is a good “accessory” for arm wrestling.
Posting a clip of him working out, Wheels wrote, “85LB CONCENTRATION CURLS. GREAT ACCESSORY FOR ARM WRESTLING.THIS WILL STRENGTHEN YOUR DEFENSIVE HOOK.” In the following story, Wheels completed the set with his left arm as well which already has a torn bicep. He wrote, “AND NOW WITH THE BROKEN BICEP IT’S SLIGHTLY WEAKER. HARDLY NOTICEABLE.”
While he was recovering from the troublesome disease, among many other names who expressed their grief about the situation, IFBB Pro Greg Doucette also made a video on the same.

Doucette shares his views on the unfortunate illness
Having decades of knowledge and experience in the field, IFBB Pro Greg Doucette took to social media and YouTube after saying his final goodbyes to competitive bodybuilding. However, Doucette is still connected to bodybuilding as he regularly posts fitness-related content as well as reacts to various videos and happenings. After realizing what Wheels was going through, Doucette wished him a speedy recovery and made a video on the same.
“We’re praying that he comes out of this a hundred percent, ” Doucette empathized with the champion. However, he warned that the condition of Rhabdomyolysis could lead to further kidney issues. “If he’s suffering from some kidney damage, it would help immensely if he were to downsize all these extra muscles,” Doucette suggested.
