While CBum has been outspoken about his retirement for a long time, his fans were afraid that he could retire this year. But giving them a ray of hope, the bodybuilding icon confessed that he would be competing this year for his fifth win. However, what awaits the champion is not an easy fight.

However, CBum is different as he is unapologetically transparent about the lows and highs of his athletic journey. Hence, he is one of the most revered bodybuilding icons of recent times. Despite injuries and upsetting health conditions, the 28-year-old earned four Mr. Olympia titles with a physique that is often compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Earlier, Chris Bumstead opened up about how he tore his bicep just a couple of days before Mr. Olympia 2022. He even confessed to crying in the bathroom before striking poses on stage. However, he managed to gather himself to represent his hard work to the audience, thus winning his fourth Mr. Olympia title last year. Now, the bodybuilding icon confessed that this year’s preparation start was much harder than any of his earlier preparations.
“This has been one of the more challenging beginnings of prep that I’ve really ever had, “ he said in a recent video on his YouTube channel. However, the icon is beaming with hope, given that it wasn’t the first time he was tested by time. The challenges he faced over the years in the bodybuilding arena made CBum strong. “It’s made me a lot more resilient,” he confessed in the candid video. Earlier, the bodybuilding icon had almost scared his fans about him figuring in the Mr. Olympia 2023 competition.
CBum will compete for his fifth Mr. Olympia title
While many were speculating that CBum might retire from the bodybuilding stage soon, the bodybuilding icon said that the time for leaving the stage has not yet arrived. So, in a lengthy post on Instagram, the 28-year-old confessed that he would compete this year to win his fifth Mr. Olympia title in Classic Physique.

Calling the decision to quit courageous, CBum wrote, “Sometimes it’s easier to stay stuck in the things making us miserable because they’re comfortably familiar, or maybe we’ve attached our identity to it.” But at the end of the post, he noted that the time to quit is not now.
