Social media fitness influencer Jujimufu has the physique of an open bodybuilder. Yet, he is almost as acrobatic as a gymnast. However, in the words of Jujimfu himself, “You can be big and jump, or you can be old and jump. But you can’t be both big and old and jump.” The bodybuilder explained that he has been facing knee issues and has turned to stem cell therapy.

Jujimufu is the newest in the list of famous fitness and bodybuilding personalities who have opted for the treatment. Earlier, Ronnie Coleman, Chris Bumstead, and Big Ramy famously got stem cells to help with their injuries. Although the influencer’s issues aren’t as severe as Coleman’s or Bumstead’s, here’s why he’s getting injected with stem cells.

The competitive bodybuilder started the video by saying that he needed help with his keens. Doing acrobatic tricks while weighing 240 lbs has taken its toll on the fitness icon’s knees. While he didn’t sustain any major joint-related injuries, Jujimufu said, “My knees are not recovering the way they used to.” Dr. Adeel Khan explained the 38-year-old’s problems in the video.

Kahn said that Jujimufu’s acrobatics have put “extra stress” on the cartilage in his knee joints, resulting in damage. “Cartilage is kind of that cushiony substance that protects your joints,” said Kahn. However, if it gets damaged, it’s a slippery slope that leads to further problems. Fortunately, stem cells have been shown to reverse cartilage damage, according to Dr. Khan.

The fitness influencer also claimed to have tried every alternative, but nothing has worked so far. Hence, the strength sports athlete felt grateful he got selected for the treatment. Dr. Khan explained that he had injected “200 million stem cells,” into Jujimufu’s knees. While the fitness enthusiast thinks his “jumping days” are beyond him, he wants to continue training and enjoy his 40s.

How stem cell therapy helped Ronnie Coleman and Chris Bumstead

Eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie ‘The King’ Coleman’s health deteriorated rapidly after undergoing over a dozen surgeries. For years, the bodybuilding legend lived in constant pain before turning to the revolutionary treatment. While it took time, the former Arnold Classic champion’s pain subsided with stem cells. The 59-year-old said almost all his pain was gone in 2023.

On the other hand, a 28-year-old five-time Classic Physique champion underwent stem cell therapy. After tearing his bicep right before the 2022 Mr. Olympia, Cbum opted for stem cells. While biceps teras often leave permanent deformities, during the 2023 Mr. Olympia, Cbum’s previously injured bicep looked flawless on stage.
