After Facing Rejection Due to His Height, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Father Came to His Rescue Despite Troubled Relationship: “They Said That’s Impossible”

Leveraging these connections, he was able to secure a position as a tank driver, defying the initial skepticism surrounding his suitability for the role. The Austrian Oak’s unwavering determination and his father’s network opened doors that seemed shut, propelling him toward the extraordinary path that lay ahead.

The start of a remarkable career in bodybuilding

Although Arnold achieved his dream military job, he didn’t confine his aspirations to the army. Instead, he aimed for a different stage that would highlight his remarkable body. Surprisingly, he got an invitation to participate in the Mr. Europe contest in Stuttgart, Germany. Enthusiastically wanting to grab this chance, Schwarzenegger asked for permission to join the competition. However, his superiors refused his appeal due to the requirements of his military responsibilities.
