Jay Cutler, the 4x Mr. Olympia and then-reigning champion, once ruled the bodybuilding arena. However, even after turning 50 and successfully sewing up his ‘Fit For 50’, a 12-week transformation program that captivated the attention of the bodybuilding fraternity and fans, Cutler still is a legend. He has cemented and carved his name in the history of bodybuilding by dethroning Ronnie Coleman, the 8x Mr. Olympia. Although the Quad Stomper had retired, he was communicating with his fans by becoming a fitness coach and an entrepreneur owning multiple means to converse with his fans, including the Cutlercast podcast, Jay Mail for the newsletters, and Jaycutler.com. 

Recently, the beast Cutler visited ‘The Mecca of bodybuilding,’ the Gold Gym, reverting to the old days and perhaps giving an ode to the best days of the champion. The year 2009 and 2010 were one of the most commemorated days of his career, wherein in 2008 he got thrashed by Dexter Jackson. Nevertheless, in 2009, he did his famous Quad-stomping pose, which is to date venerated in bodybuilding. In a recent Instagram reel, Jay Cutler posted tips to develop a bigger chest.

The Quad-stomp poser gives pro tips to his fans and young bodybuilders, and going to set foot in the domain of bodybuilding. Cutler starts the video by saying, “The important and our favorite body part is the chest and I am going to give you the best tip for building a better chest.” Even after retiring from his beloved sport and turning 50, Jay Cutler has a body fat percentage of 5 and weighs 260 lbs. At an age when the veteran has the privilege of living on his own terms, he is still following the same workout regimen which includes deadlifts.

Picking up the threads and continuing with the conversation, Cutler quotes, “Now this is a cable flat fly, now the cables gonna give you constant tension but what we like about that is with the momentum we don’t lose the tension.” The cable flat fly exercise suggested by the legend primarily works on the pec (pectoralis) muscles and it is an effective method of isolating the chest muscles. Moreover, cable flyes are less nerve-racking at the joints compared to bench presses.

Moreover, Cutler states, “That is super important for stimulating muscle fibers, I am gonna perform this exercise usually three sets, and those sets consisted of anywhere between 10-12 repetitions.” The legend’s pro tips to his fans were very relatable as the video was flooded with comments from across the globe. Furthermore, he suggests fellow bodybuilders control the tension at any point while performing the workout. Moreover, irrespective of his age, he has inspired young bodybuilders across the globe.

Cutler’s pro tip after he turns 50

“While performing this exercise you’re gonna come up but not exactly touch the cable handles together, keep that tension okay, and come back down, control the repetition. This can be done at any point in your chest workout and I suggest them for you guys trying to work on that stubborn chest,” with this Cutler sums up his chest workout practice suggestion.

The Quad-stomp poser signifies that he just retired from the stage and not from his beloved sport with his reels and Cutlercast Podcast talking about bodybuilding veterans and giving tips on different topics concerning fitness and bodybuilding.
