Earlier this month, former IFBB pro and one of the wealthiest bodybuilders in the sphere, Richard Gaspari took the cold plunge, and safe to say, his views on it have changed over time. After his first experience, it did not seem like the athlete would’ve tried it again. However, as the month draws towards the end, he entertained the community with another jaw-dropping stunt in the chilling waters, showing the value of true determination.

In a recent Instagram post, the American athlete shared a video displaying him seated in a tub. This was his second feat with the recovery method which has already been aced by Mr. Olympia champion, Phil Heath and Hollywood star, Mark Wahlberg. Evidently, this time Gaspari seemed to have a good time.?

As per the post on Instagram, the 60-year-old athlete was captured submerged in the water at the Thrive Cold Plunge tub and spoke about the details of his exercise. He revealed that the water temperature was 44 degrees, and had been sitting in there for 4 minutes and 25 seconds. Trembling in the cold, Gaspari expressed that he felt “unbelievable.”

Speaking of the benefits of the plunge, the pro shared that it helps release brown fat and relieves any inflammation in the body. Moreover, it also releases endorphin hormones. Thus, his caption stated, ?The inflammation from my body. Release brown fat And release endorphins. I definitely feel amazing after 5 minutes of Cold Plunge.?

However, the highlight was showing off a stunt in the cold water, which he explained as the main purpose of filming the video. In the last ten seconds of his plunge, Gaspari demonstrated a short-lived dip in the water. The snippet surfaced on the internet days after his first struggling attempt at the same venue. He explained it as giving a burning sensation with pins and needles.?

Owing to his first take at the recovery exercise, Gaspari enlightened his fans with another, literally, chilling video of him taking a cold bath. However, he did not seem as composed and tolerant as the second time. Quite clearly, he was suffering, and also illustrated a graphic description of his feelings in the caption.?

?When you first get your body totally in the water you feel like you can’t breathe and your skin actually burns with pins and needles,? the star athlete said. Surprisingly, bodybuilding icon, Flex Wheeler slid into the comments section and shared his experience with the cold plunge. The pro claimed that he had tried it before and it turned out to be a marvelous method of recovery for him.
