Jay Cutler has a newsletter called ‘Jaymail’ where he gives valuable advice on fitness and longevity. He talks about diet, nutrition, exercise, and even the intake of steroids in his newsletter and gives this advice for free.

This time he decided to shed light on how to gain a jacked body and the intricacies involved with it. Cutler gave his top three exercises to get abs as well.?

Cutler recently?shared an Instagram story where he clicked a picture of the newsletter where he advised on how to achieve a shredded body. The pro tip of the day was about shredding the body but with proper diet and exercise.

He wrote about it in the free newsletter and talked about getting abs and reducing body fat. According to Cutler, ?The only way to get shredded abs is to get your body fat down – ab exercises won’t do that for you, you have to do the work with the diet and cardio.? So the diet becomes very significant in reducing body fat and getting abs.

Then he went on to describe the next step: ?Once you are lean, doing extra ab work is a smart way to make your abs look sharper and more defined. Here are 3 of my favorite exercises for abs…? The three exercises for abs were hanging leg raises and crunches, and the third one was hidden so people have to go to the newsletter to find out. The little mystery would entice the fans to know more about getting abs and shredding their body.

Cutler has also previously given the importance of eating carbohydrates judiciously. He also highlighted the pitfalls of eating excessive carbs.

Jay Cutler talks about eating carbs

In the context of bodybuilding, carbohydrates play a huge role in building muscle. It has a vital role in fuelling intense workouts. The previous edition of Jay?s newsletter was about the common practice of carbohydrate loading among bodybuilders.

Former Mr Olympia revealed an important secret and he mentioned that his carbohydrate loading involves the increase of carb intake in a strategic manner. To keep a balance between optimal carb consumption and minimizing inflammation, Cutler talked about his personal experience and said,? ?Every 4-5 days, I like to hit a high carb day.??

It is also important to choose natural carb sources rather than eating junk. Cutler pointed out that too much consumption of carbohydrates, especially from unhealthy food, can cause inflammation which is counterproductive to the goals.
