British actor-comedian Brett Goldstein is moving from success to success. The two-time Emmy Award-winning Ted Lasso actor recently bagged the role of Hercules in the MCU. Now, he has become the first happiness ambassador for the multi-million dollar fitness franchise Les Mills. During an exclusive interview with Forbes Magazine’s Jeff Conway, the actor revealed why he became part of the?“Choose Happy”?campaign for the New Zealand-based business.
During the interview, the 42-year-old described why he is into fitness. While some might say the actor is working out only to play Hercules in Thor 4, Goldstein has a deeper association with it. He revealed the connection between fitness and mental health, through a heart-wrenching confession.

In the interview, the MCU’s Hercules actor spoke about his relationship with fitness. While playing a superhero might require him to adopt a more?bodybuilding?style of training, Goldstein exercises regularly. However, his goal is not to achieve a chiseled physique but to boost his mental health.
Research has already shown that working out help improve mental health. Bodybuilding?Arnold Schwarzenegger?has also highlighted?the positive effects of regular exercise?on mental health in his newsletter.?“The reason I exercise every day is not for my body, it?s for my head because I know if I don?t exercise, I feel a lot worse,”?Goldstein said during the interview.
?”It always makes me feel better,”?he added. He also spoke about the mental health challenges people faced during the COVID lockdown and how everyone is opening up to the concept of talking about it.?“It used to be ever acknowledging there was anything wrong with your head was shameful,”?Goldstein confessed to Forbes. However, discourse about the issue has led to initiatives like Les Mills’s?“Choose Happy”?campaign.
