A day’s hustle for bodybuilding icons included training rituals, diet norms, heavy weights, and posing sessions in earlier times. But the current bodybuilders’ routine also includes PEDs to ensure a mass monster muscle build-up. The sport has slowly transitioned from the natural to PEDs, and a freshly retired bodybuilding icon confirmed this fact.
Iain Valliere, the bodybuilding champion who left his mark on the sport with hard work, recently retired from the competitive stage to pursue other things in life. He recently updated a YouTube video answering questions from his fans where he revealed some shocking facts about the current bodybuilding stage.

The 32-year-old trained passionately during his decade-long career and competed in prestigious bodybuilding competitions, including Mr. Olympia. The 2021 Tampa Pro champion is known for introducing Chris Bumstead to the bodybuilding sport and training the 4x Mr. Olympia champion. But after a decade-long journey, he felt like he couldn’t push any harder and left the competitive stage when he was healthy and fit.
In an “Ask Me Anything” session, a bodybuilding enthusiast asked Valliere, “Is natural bodybuilding a waste of time?” The IFBB Pro instantly responded, “No, I don’t think so, at all!” He stressed that to be natural or not depended on the goals of each individual.
“It depends like, are you wanting to win the Olympia, be on the Olympia stage because obviously, especially in men’s open bodybuilding, there’s absolutely nobody up there that is not taking PEDs, unfortunately,” he confessed. However, he confirmed that pursuing the natty status if one enjoys it, is no waste of time. Earlier, Valliere’s brother-in-law also encouraged young bodybuilders to embrace the natural way.

The bodybuilding world is now aware of the harmful side effects of steroids, but the competing athletes still use PEDs to sustain the cut-throat competition on the Mr. Olympia stage. CBum also learned his lessons and asked his followers to go slow in their bodybuilding journey to see better results.

Emphasizing a healthy and long life, CBum said, “So, f**k age, don’t hop on years, live in the basics, get strong, go to the gym, and take it all slow.” He also confessed that people will soon forget all the titles achieved by a champion, so focussing on a healthy way over fame is crucial.
