Arnold Schwarzenegger not only achieved 7 Mr. Olympias, he is also a man who loves to experiment and did so even in his bodybuilding days. The Austrian Oak experimented with innovative methods to maximize his muscular gain in the gym. His trial-and-error method led him to develop serious new approaches toward traditional exercises. One such exercise became so popular that it was coined after his name and was known as Arnold Press.
However recently, Lee Priest decided to talk about the same exercise and reveal its truth saying that it was nothing but the same shoulder press and Austrian Oak was just messing with the people.

In a recent Instagram post by Bisandtris, Priest was seen talking about the Arnold Press. He said that the Austrian was messing with people and his take on Arnold Press was that the exercise was just a normal shoulder press. The Australian bodybuilding champion also called the Blonde Myth said that the Austrian Oak might still be laughing at the age of 76 thinking that people still do the shoulder press and think that it’s a special exercise because its name is Arnold Press.

The exercise was a variation of a dumbbell shoulder press. Schwarzenegger even explained it in one of his previous newsletters where he said that he was already testing and experimenting in the gym which was his laboratory. Arnold tried different movements and hand placements and would do 30 sets and see how the soreness in the muscles worked. Unlike a standard double press, during an Arnold Press, you have to turn your hands at the bottom and it did create good effects because after the Austrian Oak attempted it, the side delts were crushed.
However, it seems like the fans agree with Lee Priest more than Arnie.
Fans agree to Lee Priest
All the fans agreed with the Australian bodybuilding champion and said that it was about time someone pointed it out. One fan was blunt in their comment and said, “About time someone said it.”
Another fan appreciated the exercise and recalled, “I liked the Arnold press.”

One follower challenged other people to tell one advantage of that exercise and said, “To anyone who disagrees, please tell me a single advantage over a regular shoulder press lol.”
Another follower said, “He’s absolutely right.”
Even Jay Cutler had once said that he was not a fan of the Arnold Press. Looks like the fan agrees with him and one fan said, “Absolutely, that move was only invented so Arnold could have his own workout lol.”
