Earning the Mr. Olympia qualification is not an easy task; very few selected individuals around the globe get the chance. Among these selected few, there is a new name added to the list: IFBB Pro Martin Fitzwater. He started competing back in 2017 in the light heavyweight category. He secured second place in his first show and has never stopped since.

The 24-year-old moved to the men’s open category and won his Pro Card in the 2020 NPC North American Championship. The last time he competed was back in 2021 in the Texas Pro, where he secured fourth place and hasn’t competed since. But recently, he turned everyone’s head and won the Detroit Pro, securing his place at this year’s Olympia. Let’s find out how the Detroit Pro unfolded for him.

Nick shared that the 24-year-old IFBB Pro looked drier than the pre-judging. The separation in the legs was much deeper compared to any other athlete on the stage. Fitzwater improved significantly from the pre-judging to the finals and won the show with his improvements. Nick shared a front-double bicep pose done by Fitzwater, and the separation and conditioning were just right on point.

Despite being such a massive mass monster, weighing 263 pounds (peak weight), his physique looked balanced and full compared to that of the Brazilian bodybuilder. Fitzwater’s chest was much more striated and full from his competitor. Vito is a freak when it comes to the lower body, and no other bodybuilder than Fitzwater could manage to have such massive quads as Vito. The 24-year-old bodybuilder will now be preparing to set foot on the Olympia stage with athletes like former Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan, current title holder Derek Lunsford, and the Mutant, aka Nick Walker. It’ll be intriguing to witness him compete with these athletes.

Just like the 24-year-old bodybuilder, a few other athletes, like Dominican bodybuilder Fabiony Sylvain and Rafael Brandao, secured their places in the 60th anniversary of the Mr. Olympia championship.

GoodVito is giving every athlete a tough run for the title

Instagram page “bisandtris” broke the news of both of these athletes qualifying and securing their spots. The Dominican bodybuilder won the North Carolina show held on April 6 and 7. He defeated James Yount in an intense bout of posing and won the Classic Physique title along with the Olympia qualification. However, he’s not sure whether to compete or not.

On the other hand, Rafael Brandao competed in the Men’s Open division Category at the Arnold Classic Sports Festival South America. He also had a tough run for the title, with GoodVito being there, but Brando emerged victorious and Vito secured third place. The New York Pro champion, Tonio Burton, secured second place.

It’ll be intriguing to witness Fitzwater compete with the best athletes in the bodybuilding industry. What do you think the 24-year-old bodybuilder will do this year? Let us know in the comments.
