Multiplayer games are the most fun when played with friends. Treyarch certainly recognized this as it introduced a split-screen mode in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Owing to it, friends and family members can sit together and enjoy multiplayer games and Zombies mode on a single screen.
The pre-release response to Black Ops Cold War’s split-screen mode was overwhelmingly positive; however, the community discovered several bugs and glitches in it following the game’s release. Despite several patch updates, it seems that the split-screen mode still lacks perfection.

As per The Loadout, players have now have discovered a bug that makes tanks invisible. There’s no manual way to fix these issues, and quick action by the developers is the last resort for players around the world.
Previous bugs in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War split-screen
Surprisingly, the invisible tanks are a small part of the huge list of coding errors that have been discovered so far. At the time of launch, players couldn’t even start a game while using the split-screen in Zombies mode. Furthermore, playing multiplayer games resulted in a considerable drop in graphics and image rendering.
Treyarch soon rolled out a pre-season update to fix the aforementioned issues. Users could finally play Zombies on a split-screen, but the glaring issues in multiplayer remained.

Players are still reporting several visual bugs while playing on a split-screen. These include armless operators, floating guns, partially invisible extensive range scopes, invisible enemies, and texture glitches.
Treyarch is yet to make a statement on the matter, and until then, the Call of Duty community can either avoid the split-screen mode or expect the glitches to disappear after some games.

Keeping the bugs in split-screen aside, Call of Duty’s latest title has an impressive roadmap for 2021. The Zombies mode, which is a major reason behind the game’s success, will be soon receiving a new perk. Season Two of Black Ops Cold War will also drop a ton of new DLC ranging from new Zombies map to weapons.
