Back when 2K Games came out with BioShock, it was an innovation in the industry. Combining a first-person shooter with role-playing in a retro futuristic genre was something unheard of. Since then, the studio has developed several versions of the game, with the last one coming out over half a decade ago. With the launch of new consoles by both Microsoft and Sony, 2K Games has decided to step it up once again.

Back in August, Cloud Chamber Games, a new studio under 2K Games released a few job listings. They were hiring people to work on the new BioShock game.

Cloud Chamber Games releases more job listings for BioShock

Cloud Chamber Games posted another set of job listings recently. Just like the last time, MauroNL, an industry analyst, went through these job listings. He feels that the job descriptions reveal some interesting details and has listed them down in a Twitter thread.

The studio has openings for Senior Voice Designer, Game AI Programmer, and Lead Systems Designer. Through the description of the Senior Voice Designer, Mauro gathers that the new BioShock will have a dialogue system similar to that of Fallout. Moreover, they also expect the applicants to have experience with RPG.

While the studio started preliminary development back in 2016, the real work only started in 2018. Since the studio is still hiring to fill up important positions, it could be a while till 2K finishes its work on the next BioShock. However, with the aim and ambitions set out in the job descriptions, it sure looks like it will be a good one.
