Batista has come a long way to Hollywood, but despite that, there are some epic matches from his wrestling past that also remind us of the good old days. He fought several epic battles against the likes of The Undertaker, John Cena, Triple H, and more! Batista won the 2005 Royal Rumble and challenged Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. To everyone’s delight, he defeated HHH at the ‘Show of Shows,’ but the feud between the two wasn’t over.

‘The Game’ tried to regain his title at BackLash the following month, but failed.

It seemed like Batista was ready to move on to a new challenger. But Triple H wasn’t letting go.

The ‘King of Kings,’ along with Ric Flair’s help, brutally attacked Batista after his match against Edge on Raw. He then challenged Batista to a Hell in a Cell match at Vengeance, a match Triple H had never lost.

‘The Animal’ gives ‘The Game’ his first blemish

Batista accepted the challenge and the two behemoths met inside the unforgiving Hell in a Cell structure in the main event of Vengeance 2005. This was the final match of the trilogy and they really impressed everyone, from fans to even critics!

Everything from Steel chair wrapped in barbed wires to choking with chains and whatnot – both men brought all levels of physicality in the match.

In the closing moments of the match, Batista hit HHH with his own sledgehammer. He then hit a spinebuster on the steel steps and followed it up with the Batista Bomb to pick up the win!
