The UFC has been trying to find its way back to normalcy amid one of the biggest epidemics the world has seen in quite some time. This has resulted in a number of people blasting the UFC for their incessant attempts to organize UFC 249. Among these is Bellator’s CEO, Scott Coker.
Throughout these trying times, Coker has been a strong advocate of practicing caution. This is why the Bellator set an example for every sporting organization in the world by canceling all its events. Including paying its fighters their show and win money.
“That’s pretty ambitious. I don’t know what’s their protocol. That’s the one thing I would say: Let’s all be sensible”- Scott Coker to MMA Junkie

The Bellator, unlike the UFC, is not in such a hurry to start organizing events. They are hoping to plan fights July onwards, considering the threat from the virus goes down significantly. Coker feels the UFC should follow the Bellator model to ensure absolute safety and avoid hasty moves in such tumultuous times.
