“I’m Going to F*** You up” – Bellator Welterweight Aviv Gozali Calls Out Dillon Danis

Bellator fighter Aviv Gozali has now won five fights in a row, all by submission. The fighter sat down with the media after his latest win against Logan Neal.

The Israel born star is now shining brightly over at Bellator, at only 19 years of age. Gozali is already five for five in the Bellator cage, with each win coming in the opening five minutes.

What is even more impressive is that he has used different submissions to finish opponents in each of his fights. He has displayed proficiency in using an arm-bar, a rear-naked choke, a heel-hook, an anaconda choke and most recently winning via a kimura. Reporters at the media day informed Aviv that the current Bellator record is six submission wins.

The teenager who was high on confidence replied, “I’m going to break it. Two more fights, easy.” 

One of Bellator’s best grapplers, Dillon Danis, is also a welterweight fighter. He is a training teammate of Conor McGregor and holds a 2-0 record at Bellator. Despite being very active on social media, Danis has been on the shelf most of the time due to injuries.

When asked if Aviv would be interested in the Danis fight, he replied, “Dillon Danis come on, let’s do it, I’m going to f*** you up.” 

Gozali also wants to remain active as he fought for just about two to three minutes. He continued, “It was another first-round (finish). I have five first rounds and I want to keep it that way.”

When pressed on his next opponent the fighter said he doesn’t care who Bellator will book him against. However, he revealed that he wanted to take things slow and work on improving his skills.

Aviv Gozali comments on his unconventional training camp

Aviv is a second-generation MMA fighter. His father Haim also competed in Bellator. Last November, the father-son duo competed together on the same card at Bellator 234 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Gozali did not find it easy to stay in shape as he looked to prepare for his fight at Bellator 249 headlined by Cris Cyborg. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in Aviv being confined to his native of Israel for six months. He believes he returned to the U.S. for his training camp out of shape and credited his coach Ray Longo for bringing him back up to speed and for making him ‘a beast’.
