The Bellator president Scott Coker revealed big plans for the last fight of MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko in Russia.
Recently, One of the biggest events of the year, Bellator 271, took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. An intriguing woman’s featherweight bout between Cris Cyborg and Sinead Kavanagh.
Ahead of the event, the Bellator president appeared in many interviews and press conferences. During a chat with MMA Junkie, Coker touched on the topic of Fedor Emelianenko’s last fight.

Coker said, “I think that we’re planning something really, you know, large-scale event in Russia for him as his farewell, sending off as far as having this illustrious career being the greatest heavyweight of all time. And I don’t care what other people say, other reporters. Or even other fighters that have fought for me taking shots at him.”
“I just feel like, look man, you know what? Let’s be real. He is the greatest fighter in the history of MMA to me. Look at the longevity. He just knocked out a guy that was on a pretty good win streak and taking people out… We’re going to have one more. It’s going to be massive. And It’ll probably be next summer.”

“It’ll be in Moscow. (Fedor Emelianenko) wants to fight in Russia for us, his last fight. So we’re going to do it there, and we have some great plans. Again, this is going to be a massive send-off. This is not going to just be a normal fight. And we’re going to do it’s going to be something really special, and we’re already starting to plan it right now.”
Fedor Emelianenko: A Legend of MMA
Fedor Emelianenko is surely one of the greatest names in mixed martial arts sport. He has an illustrious professional fighting record of 40-6 under his name. He is an amazing finisher with sixteen knockout wins and fifteen submission wins under his name.
Not only that, the Russian fighter has numerous first-round finishes on his MMA resume. He is in combat sports for more than two decades and has fought many prominent names.

Despite being 45-year-old, Emelianenko is dominating the fighters in Bellator. He is currently 4-2 in the promotion and all of his four wins have come via a first-round knockout.

Even if a few don’t consider Emelianenko to be the legend of the sport, his resume surely reflects the legendary status. Unfortunately, the fight fans will see him for the last time competing inside the octagon in Russia, as per Scott Coker. However, the latter hasn’t disclosed the name of his next opponents.
