There are very few couples in MMA, where both are fighters. Ex-UFC women’s athlete Paige VanZant and former Bellator middleweight title challenger Austin Vanderford is one of them. The impact of one’s performance triggers the fans of others as well; A good showing gets praise from fans to both fighters, but a bad one gets heat as well.

At Bellator 284, ‘The Gentleman’ stepped inside the cage against a short-notice fighter in Aaron Jeffery. Coming off an 85-second title loss to former Bellator 185 lbs champion Gegard Mousasi, the Gracie Barra Portland gym standout was looking to get back into the win column.

However, his plans were shattered by a brutal right hand from the 29-year-old Canadian fighter. The Niagara Top Team representative improved to a 13-3 overall MMA record and extended his win streak to 3.

Whereas, for Vanderford, this came as only the second loss (straight losses) of his MMA career. The previously undefeated Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series alumni saw fans going after him and his wife on the Internet after the T/KO loss.

The current AEW and BKFC star received a lot of comments after her husband’s defeat. However, the Internet personality has often shown these remarks don’t affect her.

Paige VanZant is fighting for her BKFC career in her next bout!

The former strawweight and flyweight UFC athlete left the promotion for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. While she showcased she belonged in the ring with the best talents at BKFC, she is yet to get her name on the right side of the judges’ decision.

BKFC President has encouraged ’12 Gauge’ in the past as she showed up with intent, in her two outings inside the ring. However, David Feldman has stated that VanZant’s career is ‘absolutely’ on the line in her next bout.

The Team Alpha Male standout lost to Britain Hart in her debut and former UFC athlete Rachael Ostovich in her last fight. Now, on the BKFC 27: MVP vs. Platinum at OVO Arena Wembley, in London she will be the co-main event versus Charisa Sigala.
