Recently, Washington Post sportswriter Les Carpenter claimed he tested positive and further tests are being done.

“American figure skater Vincent Zhou has tested positive for the coronavirus, USA Figure Skating says. He is undergoing a second test to confirm. If negative he will be able to compete in men’s short program on Tuesday,” said Carpenter.

The news is a major blow to the USA’s ambitions of winning a medal in the team competitions in Beijing. Hence, fans are desperately waiting?for the results to arrive.

A disappointing start for Chen

Karen Chen has been in the picture for some time but she spoke about being nervous at this year’s Olympics. She talked in disappointment about the competition and remains determined to make things right.

“I?m definitely disappointed about the loop because I should have hit it and I know I can hit it. If I had a chance to go out there and do it again, I know I can,” said Chen.

Racking up a good score will be key for USA’s hopes of winning medals in the figure skating competition. With ROC dominating the contest, it would be a long way back for Chen and Co to come back and prove otherwise.
