“Found a tennis game and became excellent at it”: Serena Williams
Playing virtual games is a big part of creative and intelligent thinking. The 4-time Olympic Gold medal winner uses Nintendo to relax as well as to train and stay fit. When asked about her collaboration with Nintendo and when she started playing, she excitedly told her story.
Serena said, “I am a gamer. I’ve got my gamer chair that I am sitting in. I have been playing my whole life. I remember when we were little, we would love to play video games. We’d love to play Nintendo… We played ‘Super Mario Brothers,’” Serena described how her father would ask them to only play tennis and nothing else.
Similar to ordinary kids, the 7 times Wimbledon champion too tricked her father. “We found a video game on Nintendo that was a tennis game. And so, whenever he came home, we would quickly put that cartridge in and we would start playing tennis, and then we became excellent at it. It was so fun,” said the World No. 11.
“Gaming my whole life, especially with Nintendo”: Williams
2020 has allowed the world to sit back and get a perspective on life. While many took up some old and lost habits, Serena got into virtual gaming. She mentioned that even her 3-year-old daughter Olympia enjoys the game ‘Just Dance: 2021’.
“So, I’ve literally been gaming my whole life, especially with Nintendo. It’s a classic… I love playing Nintendo, it’s so crazy,” voiced the American.
