Charles Leclerc is on pole! And what a sensational lap from the Monegasque it was as he muscled his way to the top once again. This is also Leclerc’s fourth consecutive pole in the 2022 season. The Ferrari driver was incredibly quick with hitting purple sectors on purple sectors in the dying moments of the session.
As we all know, the competition was tight until the very end. While Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz was on the provisional pole for a long time, a sudden surprise from the 24-year-old denied his teammate another pole.

Monaco was a similar story where Leclerc, Sergio Perez, Max Verstappen, and Carlos Sainz were right on each other’s tails. Though Leclerc is usually unbeatable in qualifying, he ultimately loses out in the races where the driver simply gets unlucky.

However, this was another mega job from the Maranello camp and the Ferrari driver, as they were top-notch. At first, Leclerc initially failed to beat Sainz a few times. However, he ultimately managed to snatch away the win. Everyone else was left chasing the very talented driver!
