Bodybuilder and fitness influencer Tristyn Lee is here to help people trying to build muscle. Despite being 21 years old, Lee has amassed considerable experience in bodybuilding. That’s because, unlike most people, Lee started when he was just a kid and was one of the most shredded individuals on the planet for years. Now, the bodybuilding prodigy wants to help others.
Over the years, Tristyn Lee has garnered a fan base of millions, and in his latest video, the bodybuilder explained how people should design their workout programs. While many bodybuilders and fitness influencers sell training programs, Lee wanted his followers to take a different route.

The first point on the 21-year-old’s list was to ask people about their training experience. Lee said that beginners should stick to “a three or four-day split, emphasizing full body” training. According to Lee, this will help beginners get familiar with many different exercises. Lee suggested that intermediate lifters should focus on “a four/five or even six-day training split.”
Among the many splits, the 21-year-old explained that people could experiment with “push-pull-legs (PPL), push-pull-legs upper-lower,” or even a “bro split.” Although a highly debated training method, a bro split means training each major muscle group once per week. It seems that despite the debate, the bodybuilder doesn’t want his fans to limit their opinions.
However, that’s for good reason, because Tristyn Lee wants his fans to learn through experience and use his advice as a guide. Following someone else’s workout plan often doesn’t work because every person is different. Tristyn Lee is aware of that and hence made the video to make people understand the key steps of building muscle.
Finally, the bodybuilder advised advanced lifters to tailor their slips even further and look to develop their weak points. Lee even gave himself as an example and said he is currently prioritizing biceps, as they are among his weaker body parts. However, the fitness instructor also had some additional advice.

The bodybuilder wanted to highlight some important factors affecting muscle gain
The bodybuilder told people to choose exercise variations where the “mind-muscle connection” felt stronger. His third and final training-related point was to nail the technique. While many people exercise, they often don’t pay enough attention to technique, tempo, and time under tension. However, training is just one part of bodybuilding.

The 21-year-old said that factors like sleep, a good diet, proper rest, and recovery all impact a person’s ability to gain muscle. If someone is overtraining or not getting enough sleep, their efforts will yield diminished gains. Hence, the bodybuilder explained that to get in shape, one must pay attention to everything he said and design a training method that suits them.
